The Sims Fiesta is available in both sedan and hatchback variants, and players can choose their own color for the ride. Ford has also created a free 'Fiesta Urban Streetscape' package, which contains 'Fiesta Urban Style graffiti, Never Get Lost Again street sign, Maid o' Meter parking space with meter, Hot Stuff Crossing! sign, and Street Struttin' Street Light sign'. Some of that sounds a tad vulgar -- but then, what's The Sims without a little raunch? Virtual streetwalkers, rejoice!

Even better: unlike your character, who needs constant maintenance, the Fiesta is foolproof. No need to change the oil or rotate the tires -- you can drive it forever. Or until it gets destroyed by meteors. Whichever comes first.

Sadly, it's not all good news: at the moment, the Fiesta is only available on PC and Mac versions of the game. So if you play The Sims on Xbox, PS3, or Wii, you're out of luck -- for now, anyway.

Platform issues aside, this partnership with EA Games is likely a great move for Ford and the Gen Y-oriented Fiesta. The automaker ran similar programs for the Ford Edge, Mustang, Escape Hybrid, Focus, and Fusion in The Sims 2, and in doing so, the company learned that 28% of Sims players drive Ford vehicles in their real lives. That's a pretty big target market just waiting to be tapped and massaged. (We mean that in marketing terms, of course.)
